Supersampling (and Antialiasing)Version 1.0.2
After reading an intresting
article on anti aliasing by Michael Condron i have added supersampling functionality to yFract. It is now available in the follwing functions that were already implemented:
Set as Wallpaper
Write to File
Make VideoSupersamplings adds more detail and clarity to the fractal image without changing the final image resolution. This a practical feature for images that have lower resolutions like wallpapers or tiny GIF animations. But it takes more time to render. Depending on the setting in yFract it can take up to 10 times longer to render a image!. Here is a demonstration of this feeature:
Without Supersampling
2x2 Supersampling (2 times slower)

As you see it look not much better that the first image, only a few details were added.
3x3 Supersampling (3 times slower)

This one looks much more detailed but needs 3 times longer to generate.
3x3 Supersampling with 2x antialiasing (
12 times slower)

You can additionally enable antialising smoothen the image. But Antialising makes the rendering 4 times slower, like a 4x4 supersampling!
5x5 Supersampling (5 times slower)

This is crazy, i would not recommend to use higher supersampling rates than 3x3 in most cases.
Here are 3 Sample images i made with supersampling (hd resolution / 3x supersampling);
